Mark Scheinblum is in his third decade as a corporate and business lawyer. Before joining with Wendy Anderson to form Chief Legal Advisors, Mark practiced law with some of the preeminent firms in New York City and Central Florida, and as in-house counsel to a technology incubation and commercialization firm and its numerous start-up ventures.
Mark is the firm's music enthusiast and is the founder of a music venture that promotes local bands and community. You can occasionally find him at music festivals, taking in a banjo workshop, dreaming of starting his own bluegrass band. Saying it captures the idea of a modern take on old-time music, he's flirted with the band name "Dial-Up Internet"; unfortunately, the sound that name conjures too closely matches the way he plays. He needs a bit more practice before a Grammy nomination is in the cards.
Mark's law practice focuses on corporate and business law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and venture capital. He has been active in the structuring, formation and capital-raising of numerous businesses, the acquisition and sale of successful businesses, the negotiation of strategic joint ventures, and the licensing of intellectual property and other rights. His clients have ranged from businesses started in a garage to some of the world's largest international corporations. He also has significant experience with real estate and hospitality ventures. He has lectured on licensing, capital raising, the duties of corporate officers and directors, and legal ethics in mergers and acquisitions. His soon-to-be-popular corporate and business law blog, the Scheinblog, can be found here
Mark is listed in the 2013 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® in the areas of Corporate Law and Securities / Capital Markets Law.
